Buckled ankles

36 You broaden the path beneath me,so that my ankles do not turn. Psalm 18:36 Have you ever been in a tight place? I know we all have experienced that feeling at one time or another. A tight place seems as if the walls around you will swallow you up. It seems like the floor beneath you will drop from under you. You don't feel like you can breathe, move, or escape. David knew what that felt like. But he also understood that even though he felt that way, that the path upon which he was directed upon would literally squeeze the life out of him, he knew that God would broaden the path. I don't know about you but I can agree with David. The path that I am being directed on by God seems as if it will crush me and turn my ankles so that I lose my footing, my balance and ultimately my resolve! But God has a way - in the midst of it all- of reorchestrating my path. He doesn't always take me off the path - but He certainly broadens it - enlarges it - makes it wider for me to stand steady and walk upright! What an awesome God! He accommodates the path to my situation! He rearranges, He manufactures, He builds a path that will hold me and make me strong! Stop resisting your path! Stop crumbling under pressure! Stand strong and straighten your ankles - the Lord will broaden the path and your ankles will not buckle - He will uphold you with the right hand of His righteousness!
