Great and sovereign

“How great you are, O Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.”- 2 Samuel 7:22 I’m sure there are times in your life when you awake with what seems like the world resting on your shoulders. This feeling may leave you drained and often unable to hold your head up high. My thoughts and prayers today go to everyone who is experiencing the loss of loved ones and/or trauma in some way or another. I know what it’s like to lose loved ones and to go through traumatic experiences, but even in those times I find solace in the fact that God is not only great, but He is SOVEREIGN. He knows everything we’re going through or will go through and His loving arms are always there to embrace, console and strengthen us through our trials. Many of us are feeling the effects of a global pandemic, dwindling economy, and low morale as we try to make sense of what’s going on in our society. Our country is divided by political lines, racial biases, and differing opinions and values, just to name a few. Let’s face it – we’re in crisis mode. But the thing I love about God is that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! He doesn’t change – He doesn’t flip-flop between opinions – He is great and sovereign! You may be going through today but know that you are not alone. God – who sees all things, knows all things, and controls ALL things is there with you protecting you and leading you. He’ll never leave or forsake you – There is truly NONE like Him!
