I wrote this original Psalm of praise for my seminary class: Lord, I shall praise thee when my soul doth rest For in you is rest complete I shall praise thee when I am troubled in spirit For your peace surpasseth all understanding I shall praise thee when my enemies attack For you are my refuge I shall praise thee, when trials seek to overtake me For you have my life in your hands I shall praise thee when I feel week and low For in you my strength is made perfect in weakness I shall praise thee, O, Lord for your marvelous works For the earth is yours and the fullness thereof I shall praise thee, O Lord, for your love reaches The guttermost and extends to the uttermost I shall praise thee when the sun shines in my life and overshadows the clouds For all good and perfect things come from you I shall praise thee when my cubbard is empty For you are the Bread of Life I shall praise thee when I cannot see beyond my troubles for you said to cast my cares upon you Blessed is He that praises thee, O Lord I shall praise thee
