Think about it

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-8;19 The scripture tells us to meditate on things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report – if there is anything virtuous or praiseworthy to think also on these things. Often we are bombarded with things that are unpleasant – be they thoughts of our own or ill-spoken gossip about someone else. We must not entertain these things or meditate on them as they have the ability to take our minds off of things that will build us up and make us stronger in the Lord. The best way to counteract negative thoughts is to constantly point our thought processes toward Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is all of the things described above and we must continue to meditate on who He is, what He’s come to do, and what He has done – all of which will help us not to be sidetracked by the “other” things. As we keep our minds focused on Christ, it allows us to walk daily in our purpose and the course He has set for our lives! He is virtuous and constantly praiseworthy! We are living in a day that we can sum up in one word: uncertainty. Many people are losing jobs, homes, investments, and many don’t know how they will climb up from under the daily stress they are facing. More people will turn to vices to get them through alcohol, drugs, sex, and more. However, the child of God can rest assured that if they keep their minds and hearts on Jesus – He will provide peace and that reassuring, blessed peace will protect both our hearts and minds even in an uncertain atmosphere. Not only does He promise peace, but He also promises to supply ALL our need according to His riches in glory. In this day of uncertainty, there is still a very certain answer: Jesus Christ is the answer to every dilemma and He really is the ONLY option for any of life’s trials! Think about it.
