When you don't know what to do

5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 Sometimes life places us in unpredictable situations and we have not a clue as to how to respond. We often respond by exhausting all of our means, by seeking the advice of others (sometimes helpful, but sometimes to our detriment). What do you do? The Word of God is a wonderful guide for any situation. Even if we cannot immediately find the answer, the Word can give us peace and teach us how to respond when we are in those uneasy places. James says if you lack wisdom all you need do is ask God. God will generously give you wisdom, without judging you, without finding fault in you - He will give it to you. That's great news! Have you ever sought advice from someone only to walk away feeling bad about yourself, guilty or more distraught? Well, when you seek wisdom from God sincerely, He will afford it to you without prejudice. Regardless of what situation you are in at the moment, regardless of whether you can actually see the answer to the problem, God is available to provide you with wisdom, peace, and assurance. Just ask Him!
